If Apple / GS wants this demographic, they'll have to add this feature. I'll stick with the Chase Amazon card, Citi Costco and Amex Platinum, all of which have great benefits - and support Quicken with One Step Updates. Sorry, no way it will be anything but an edge case product for me (Apple SAAS fees, Apple hw purchases) until / if this is fixed.

So, that all being said, nearly every bank, credit card and brokerage company supports Quicken. If you are applying to open an account online, select Yes to the question. Taking that into account, higher income, higher credit score, great customers, perhaps a little older (PC-based, enough life experience to have many accounts.) I would think skewing to affluent Gen X if I had to guess, perhaps younger boomers and older millennials. There are a number of ways for you to opt-in. Who would use this? I would suggest highly organized, some understanding of accounting, likely many accounts (credit, checking, brokerage, 401k, IRA, mortgage), and interested in financial planning. It is a legacy client / server (PC-based) solutions that is not yet in the cloud (and Mint's functionality pales in comparison.)

Quicken for Mac also falls a bit short when it comes to investment tools, especially in regard to its lack of automatic cost-basis calculations. It relies largely (but not wholly) on "One Step Update", which in my case updates 17 accounts with automatic downloads. Quicken for Mac still trails Quicken for Windows in ease of use, interface (i.e., navigation), intuitiveness, versatility, and features. Quicken allows those who are interested to have full featured accounting and analysis of their finances with instant net worth, spending reports and planning. My gut is the demographics of Quicken users are super attractive.
